Drug Therapy on Pneumonia
Learn about Antibacterial Drugs and Corticosteroids for Community-Acquired Pneumonia (CAP) - Earn 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit to enhance your clinical knowledge and patient care.
About this course
This course provides 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit for license renewal and discusses how pneumonia is a leading cause of hospitalization among adults and children in the United States with high medical costs. Despite the large disease burden, critical gaps in our knowledge remain (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC),n.d.). Despite the benefit shown in clinical trials, physicians should be mindful of the adverse effects of these agents as a class and weigh the risk versus benefit for each patient. This activity will focus on current evidence of using antibacterial drugs and Corticosteroids for community-acquired pneumonia (CAP).
